Eric L. Oliver

Eric L. Oliver is the founder of Heart's Bluff, and brings to the organization a history of sound investing and equitable deal-making. Eric serves in numerous financial stewardship roles. He is Chief Investment Officer for Softvest, LP – a hedge fund founded in 1998 that focuses on convertible arbitrage. Eric is also Chairman and CEO of AMEN Properties, Inc. a NASDAQ SmallCap public company primarily focused on owning and managing commercial real estate, oil and gas royalties as well as newly formed retail electric provider, W Power and Light, LTD. He also has considerable expertise in Intellectual Property ventures, including Copyright, Internet, and Media-related companies.Additionally, Eric serves President of Midland Map Company, LLC a 55-year-old company that tracks lease and ownership changes throughout the Permian Basin of West Texas.As Chairman of the Board of Love and Care ministries, Eric is committed on extending the love of Christ to the inner city of Abilene, Texas.Eric is married and has four children. He lives with his family in Abilene, Texas.

Scott Parker

Scott Parker brings the "insider's" view of the music industry to Heart's Bluff, and serves as Sr. VP of Creative and Acquisitions. He is uniquely qualified to evaluate content for the new company.Scott knows songs and creative sensibility well, having worked with some of the top musicians, writers and artists in the world. (In fact, Scott is "one of them," having served in the roles of A&R Executive, Producer, Songwriter, Studio Owner and Touring Musician.) As staff-writer/producer for Sony Music, Paul Worley, Hamstein Music, Warner/Chappel and Reunion, Parker has developed a keen song-sense, across many genre's. With multiple Top-10 hits, songwriting awards and critical acclaim under his belt, Parker has produced or written songs recorded by Patty Loveless, Sister Hazel, Will Hoge, James Otto, Kim Hill, Joanna Cotten, John David Webster, Kendall Payne, Trevor Morgan, Reba MacIntire, Trisha Yearwood, Marilee Rush, Brenda Dickey, and others. He's produced albums for Atlantic Records NY, Mercury, Universal, Word, Warner Bros, EMI, Magnatone Records, and BHT Entertainment. From 2003 Scott served as VP of A&R for BHT Entertainment, owned by veteran managers Mike Blanton & Dan Harrell. There he coordinated A&R for 3 imprint labels, and their publishing company. In early 2006, after producing 4 Top-10 singles, he resigned to work with Heart's Bluff, and pursue other production and writing opportunities.Scott also serves on the Board of Crucible International, a non-profit resourcing organization for Christian artists. He is a member of NARAS, AFM and AFTRA. He's an avid water & snow skier and closet Johnny Cash fanatic. He’s been married 25 years to artist, Caryl Parker, with whom he is raising two lovely children in Nashville.

Jon Morgan

Jon brings an expertise in evaluating royalty streams, and developing models for cash flowing assets. With years of acquisition experience, and building companies, he understands the marriage of ideas and money, and how to bridge the two.Jon is the President of Anthem Oil and Gas, Inc., an oil and gas investment company based in Midland, Texas. After graduating from the University of Texas with a Petroleum Land Management degree in 1981, Jon worked for Texaco, Inc. through 1983. He has actively purchased minerals and royalties for the past 21 years. He has principally founded and been actively involved in over a dozen companies involved in real estate, oil and gas, minor league sports, geophysical services, financial services, data management, power procurement and the internet. He presently serves on several corporate and non-profit boards. Jon is President and COO of AMEN Properties (working alongside of Eric Oliver).Jon lives in Midland, Texas, with his wife of 25 years and teenaged son.

Yes, Heart’s Bluff is an actual bluff on the banks of the Sulphur River, just east of Talco in the woods of East Texas. Formerly our family-owned ranch, it has a special legacy, rich in oil, rich in music, and grown though decades of common sense, honest deal making that treats people right.
